As I write this, I face a huge crossroads. The possibilities are endless. I’m setting out to be a photographer, but who knows where I’ll end up in a year?

It’s a strange but absolutely beautiful thing, weddings. It’s such a special, sacred time, and everyone is different in how they want to celebrate that. At the end of the day, it’s about two people making a lifelong commitment to each other, before God.

The story of our engagement is a simple one — no fanfare, no bells and whistles. Just the two of us. And that’s exactly how I like it.

Marriage is the closest relationship you will ever have in your life, and wrapping my head around this has forced me to reckon with and really focus on fighting my demons. There is nowhere to run or hide.
